Aluminium wire mesh filters are generally used on in kitchen extract canopies when cost reduction is a high priority and the grease loading with the kitchen is low. The air is drawn through the filter and grease is collected in the galvanised wire mesh core. With regular daily cleaning the filters should last many years.

The aluminium wire mesh filter consists of a rigid outer aluminium Frame, with a knitted galvanised wire mesh filter core, and 10mm weldmesh Facia on both sides. Handles are fitted as standard to the shortest side dimension.
